- Nottingham artist. Taking the people and places of Nottinghamshire as my muse, I embrace something of the slightly darker, no less beautiful aspect of this City’s inheritance. I see it in the high contrast shadows around Open Mic singers, and sunsets across red brick facades above street lit pavements below. All subjects are explored via direct experience before using a variety of media to enhance those aspects which best serve my purpose when creating dramatic contrasts in colour and tone. My paintings are essentially figurative, but never simply representations.
